Welcome. We are glad you are here.

This blog is a small extension of the same philosophy that guides every appointment at Serenity Mental Wellness: listen first, treat the whole person, and walk alongside each patient at their own pace.

Why we started this blog

Appointments are an important part of care, but they are not the whole picture. Between visits, questions come up. Context gets forgotten. Sometimes a short, thoughtful read can help something settle into place.

We wanted a quiet space to share practical information, occasional reflections, and updates from the practice—written in the same warm, unhurried tone you will recognize from your conversations with Krista.

What you can expect

Over time, this blog will include:

  • Practical guidance on scheduling, telehealth, insurance, and what to expect from virtual psychiatric care.
  • Updates from the practice when there is something worth knowing—new availability, changes to accepted plans, or notes about how care is delivered.
  • Thoughtful reflections on mental wellness, written for a general audience and never as a substitute for individualized care.
Nothing here is medical advice. Anything that feels relevant to your own life is always best explored in conversation with a provider who knows you.

A note on what this blog is not

This is not a place for diagnosis, treatment recommendations, or crisis support. If you are in crisis or need urgent help, please call 911 or 988 in the United States. Serenity Mental Wellness is not an emergency service.

If you are an existing or prospective patient and something you read here raises a question, please bring it to your appointment or reach out to the practice directly.

Thanks for reading

We will keep these posts short, clear, and honest. If there is a topic you would like us to write about in the future, you are welcome to mention it at your next appointment or when you contact the practice.
